TEACHERS

Our Teachers & Vetting

The scorecard every teacher must pass before receiving a paid student.

The teacher scorecard

No teacher receives a paid student until they pass the academy scorecard. The scorecard is designed to test more than recitation skill.

  • English clarity. The teacher can explain, correct, and reassure in English that parents and children understand.
  • Child warmth. The teacher is patient, calm, age-aware, and encouraging.
  • Meaning explanation. The teacher can explain a meaning point simply, without turning a child's lesson into a lecture.
  • Tajweed correction. The teacher notices recitation mistakes and corrects them gently and specifically.
  • Specific logging. The teacher records what happened in class clearly enough for a parent-facing Sunday report.

One trusted teacher

Wherever possible, your child stays with one trusted teacher. Continuity helps the teacher know your child's confidence, pace, pronunciation habits, and learning goals. Girls can be matched with a female teacher where needed.

Monitoring quality

Teaching quality is monitored through the Sunday report rhythm. Early reports are founder-reviewed, and vague notes are not accepted as a substitute for specific observation.

Safety and boundaries

Teacher quality and child safety belong together. Read the full Safeguarding & Child Safety policy for official-channel rules, recording consent, escalation, and privacy of student recordings.
